There are many shades of brown skin people, but what does it really mean to be black. We are all shades of brown anyway, from the palest lightest beige brown to the deepest, darkest mahogany, these are all shades, tones and hues of the same colour.
Is it the colour of your skin, your gums, your nipples being pink, brown or purple? The colour of your labia? Being pink purple or brown. Is it really about colour or culture or life concepts?
Because I have observed black, or dark brown skinned people who are really obviously so uncomfortable in their skin. So much so that they deny their own heritage and do everything that they can to be accepted by their white colleagues. Even to the point of making and agreeing with racist commentary.
Black women who would do anything to be in a relationship with a white man, instead of a black "brother"! It's amazing how ignorant so many people are about defining people by outward appearances.
We already know that beauty is only skin deep. Real beauty resonates from the spirit and the soul level. And similarly there is no way to really holistically understand a person or group of persons with only superficial analysis.
